The people behind Renew Indianapolis are what make our organization amazing. Each person contributes their skills and talents to improve housing, economic development, and quality of life in the metropolitan Indianapolis area.
We got a chance to chat with Stephanie Quick, our Director of Real Estate Development about her work at Renew as well as the lessons and values that drive her. Learn a little more about Stephanie below.
What is the most important career lesson you’ve learned thus far?
Take time to listen. Listening allows for creative thoughts to be heard, problems to be solved, and an understanding of situations.
What is your proudest moment at Renew Indianapolis?
My proudest moment at Renew Indianapolis was obtaining my Real Estate Brokers License. I started the process of obtaining my license thinking it would be easy, seeing that I have worked in real estate development for many years.
Taking the real estate brokers license course allowed me to learn more related to real estate law and best approaches to negotiate, sell, and dispose of real estate. Obtaining my broker’s license will allow me to further advance the mission of Renew Indianapolis.
What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day for me revolves around developing properties and getting them sold to affordable buyers. This includes coordinating with my team (Real Estate Managers, Specialists, Construction Managers, and Contractors) to ensure perfect planning and delivery of real estate development projects.
What’s a fun fact about you?
When I retire I plan to move to a warm climate and open a snack shop on the beach.
What are the values that drive you?
Responsibility. I believe in taking full responsibility for my actions, mistakes, and life situations.
