Renew Indianapolis has partnered with local developers and Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) to address homelessness in Marion County. Addressing the challenges of affordable housing and homelessness requires focused, coordinated, and tireless efforts from a broad range of partners.
Renew Indianapolis is proud to be part of such a dedicated group committed to helping the most vulnerable members of our community. We are pleased to be able to help preserve affordable housing and help create new permanent supportive housing through flexible lending products offered by the Edge Fund.
The Edge Fund, operated by Renew Indianapolis, developed loan products that help preserve and create affordable housing across the city. Edge Fund’s partnership with Merchants Affordable Housing Corp. has already resulted in the investment of $3.1 million that will preserve 72 affordable housing units and create 18 permanent supportive housing units on the near northside of Indianapolis.
Recently, Edge Fund invested more than $2.5 million, in partnership with Partners in Housing (PIH) and IHCDA, to preserve 134 affordable housing units and create 34 permanent supportive housing units on the near northside and near eastside of Indianapolis.
Edge Fund is continuing its work and expects to add an additional 34 affordable housing units preserved and 6 permanent supportive housing units created by the end of the year.
