The Edge Fund, owned and operated by Renew Indianapolis, is focused on offering flexible financial products that will create diverse and inclusive affordable housing opportunities across the housing spectrum in Indianapolis.
The Edge Fund recently closed on another affordable home loan this month. Abby’s new home is located on Cornell Ave. and built by David Weekley Homes. This is the 3rd home closed for the HomeSmart program.
See what the new homeowner, Abby, had to say:
1. Why did you choose the King Park Neighborhood?
I like King Park’s proximity to Mass Ave. It is close to where I work and I love the diversity of the neighborhood.
2. What do you like, love and/or enjoy about this neighborhood?
I love the diversity and how the neighborhood is becoming. I love seeing the development of the neighborhood grow and change.
3. How was the process of buying a home through Renew Indianapolis?
I felt very supported throughout the entire process. It is very exciting to purchase your first home but at the same time it is terrifying. Any time I had any concerns or questions, Renew Indianapolis would make sure that I knew everything that I needed to know to feel comfortable buying a home.
4. What does homeownership mean for you and/or your family?
I’ve been lucky enough to have always lived in a home growing up. As I got older, becoming a homeowner was my main goal. I would have never thought that I would be able to purchase a home on my own. It means the world to me that I am able to invest in myself and become a homeowner all on my own.
5. Anything else you want to share?
This has been the most incredible opportunity that has ever happened to me.
