We’re proud to announce that Kristin Liggin, a Trent L. Garrett Fellow from our second cohort, has recently been promoted to Intend Indiana’s Real Estate Manager!
Intend Indiana was honored to announce the creation of the Trent L. Garrett Fellowship in 2022, celebrating the legacy of our esteemed colleague and dear friend, Trent L. Garrett. The fellowship’s mission is to support diverse professionals in developing careers in real estate and community development. This program has empowered recipients with invaluable real estate experience, deep insights into the development sector, and exceptional opportunities to refine their leadership skills.
Kristin has demonstrated extraordinary commitment, skill, and leadership throughout her fellowship, and this promotion is a well-earned recognition of her impressive contributions. As a Real Estate Manager, Kristin will assist with all aspects of housing development, including activities that lead to the purchase, sale, or development of real estate. She will manage the organization’s real estate portfolio, conduct financial analysis, and lead a team of real estate professionals as part of the Affordable HomeMatters initiative.
During her first year as a Trent L. Garrett Fellow, Kristin became a Real Estate Diversity Initiative (REDI) Scholar through the Urban Land Institute Indiana, completed the Indianapolis Urban League’s Exchange Leadership Fellows Program, and will begin the Martindale-Brightwood Jumpstart program starting in July 2024.
In addition, Kristin successfully developed our four-part Homeownership 101 education series and demonstrated exceptional leadership by conducting numerous classes with community partners across Indianapolis. She pioneered the creation of our inaugural Home Care Manual, providing invaluable guidance on post-purchase care and maintenance for new homeowners. Kristin is also a licensed real estate broker and a member of the Central Indiana Realtist Association (CIRA).
Her dedication and expertise have significantly enhanced our efforts to support and empower homeowners in our community. Congratulations to Kristin on this well-deserved promotion and the exciting new opportunities it brings to your career!
