We’re proud to announce that Michael Grossniklaus, a Trent L. Garrett Fellow from our third cohort, has recently been promoted to Intend Indiana’s Strategic Initiatives Specialist!
Intend Indiana was honored to announce the creation of the Trent L. Garrett Fellowship in 2022, celebrating the legacy of our esteemed colleague and dear friend, Trent L. Garrett. The fellowship’s mission is to support diverse professionals in developing careers in real estate and community development. This program has empowered recipients with invaluable real estate experience, deep insights into the development sector, and exceptional opportunities to refine their leadership skills.
During his time as a Trent L. Garrett Fellow, Michael demonstrated professionalism, skill, and character. He became instrumental in Intend’s organizational growth, as he devoted time to developing project budgets and facilitating community outreach.
His focus and precision were critical to our affordable housing development projects in Indianapolis, Shelbyville, and South Bend. His promotion to Strategic Initiatives Specialist is well-earned.
In his new role, Michael will be supporting both Renew Land Bank and Affordable HomeMatters through grant writing, project planning, and partnership development. Michael was also recently admitted to the 2025 Real Estate Diversity Initiative (REDI) through the Urban Land Institute Indiana.
His expertise has enhanced our efforts to support and empower homeowners in our community. Congratulations to Michael on this well-deserved promotion—we can’t wait to see how you excel!
