The Edge Fund has a new homeowner, Fabio!
Fabio came to our program differently from most of our applicants. A few years ago, we reached out to Fabio who was a Mayor’s Neighborhood Advocate to help us promote our affordable housing program throughout the city and also in hopes of expanding our outreach to the Indianapolis Latino community.
Fast forward to a couple of months ago and Fabio, himself, was ready to become a first-time homeowner. He recently closed on his home and we had a chance to chat with him. See what Fabio has to say.
Why did you choose to use the Renew Indianapolis affordable homeownership program and the HomeSmart loan?
I chose to use the program to help purchase my first home and begin building generational wealth.
What do you like, love and/or enjoy about the neighborhood you chose?
I really like the feel of the neighborhood. It feels very family friendly and peaceful.
How was the process of buying a home through Renew Indianapolis?
It was a very easy process. Ben was amazing from beginning to end. He was super responsive, patient and very informative. Anyone who works with him is in good hands.
What does homeownership mean for you and/or your family?
It is an incredible opportunity to begin building generational wealth and stability.
