In our final episode of Intentional Community Conversations, Intend’s Single Family Loan Portfolio Manage Kim Wherry and recent IndyAMP borrower Lorrel Lyn Cook discuss how the Indy Affordable Modification Program (IndyAMP) allows homeowners to remain in their homes, become current with their mortgages, and lower their monthly payment.
IndyAMP is a refinancing program through Edge Fund that was started in 2021 in response to COVID-19. This initiative allows homeowners living in areas affected by COVID to refinance their mortgage debt at below-market interest rate for up to 30 years. With a 90-day deferral of the first payment, IndyAMP participants don’t have to make a mortgage payment for three months.
