In September, we welcomed two new homeowners, Takesha and Dionna, and their families to the Kennedy-King neighborhood with the Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity and Salesforce volunteers:
- 930 E. 17th Street: The Webster Family, mom and 2 teenagers
- 934 E. 17th Street: The Dowdell Family, mom and 2 young kids
The homes in the heart of Monon16, and Takesha and Dionna overcame every challenge thrown at them!
King Park and the Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity have had a very successful long-standing partnership in our neighborhoods and a commitment for even more homes in the future. In the past year and a half, we’ve partnered to create affordable housing options in the form of 6 new homeowners with Habitat-built home in the King Park area. In addition, we’ve collaborated on our Owner-Occupied Repair Program, and we are partnering again on 2 more homes for 2018.
Welcome to Takesha and Dionna to the neighborhood! Check out the gallery below of the construction, development, and unveiling.
