Intend Indiana is excited to announce that Onit Construction Services, LLC. (Onit) has secured a BuildSmart loan to assist with the construction of Winding Way Townhomes in Plainfield, IN!
This is a 100% permanent supportive housing project that will consist of 30 townhomes with a mix of 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms. Onit’s scope of work includes roofing, gutters, floor installation, painting, drywall installation, and installing doors and windows. The project is currently under construction with an anticipated completion date of March 2026.
Onit is an African American certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) based in Indianapolis, Indiana, delivering general contracting, construction management, and post-construction cleaning services.
Founded by Andrew Walker II in 2023, Onit was built to activate local labor, improve community outcomes, and execute affordable housing projects with excellence. Andrew has completed over 300 projects and has formerly led the Heartland Builders to $3.2 million annual revenue, and has experience with Section 3 and Davis-Bacon compliance in affordable housing projects.
