What is the most important career lesson you’ve learned thus far?
Be patient, everything will fall into place!
What is your proudest moment at Renew Indianapolis?
The certification of Build Fund as a CDFI. Receiving CDFI certification confirmed that The Build Fund is doing exceptional work and making a difference to the underserved areas of Indianapolis. Learn more about the certification.
What does a typical day look like for you?
It depends on the time of year. In the first and second quarters of the year, I may be spending a lot of my time applying for grants. Throughout the year, I often communicate with businesses seeking loans for their small business or for the development of affordable housing. Also throughout the year, and especially in the fourth quarter, I have staff prepare for the annual audit.
